BLOOMINGDALE, NJ - On January 16, 2009 at about 2:27 p.m. Bloomingdale firefighters were dispatched to a report of smoke in the home at 33.5 Hamburg Turnpike.
Firefighters battled the weather as well with temperatures in the low teens and a wind chill of two degrees at the time the blaze broke out.
Assisting Bloomingdale were firefighters from nearby Riverdale, Butler and Kinnelon. Also assisting at the scene was the Tri-Boro and Pompton lakes-Riverdale first aid squads. One engine company from West Milford was moved up to standby at Bloomindale's Station 2.
The fire was quickly brought under control by firefighters and is currently under investigation by local fire officials.
